50 Undercliff Road, Freshwater

Prev Next

A rare commodity, and likely one of the first homes built in the popular Freshwater Basin circa 1908. This amazing opportunity still has majority of the hallmarks of the time period and requires some tender loving care to bring it back to its former glory.

High ceilings, batten boards, wide timbers floors, sandstone footings and a bay window are just some of the wonderful features you will view throughout.

* DA approved Survey and plans are available on request. The approval consists of an additional level and other alterations to really make this position and addition a golden opportunity.

* Three large bedrooms, original bathrooms
* Older style functional kitchen, separate lounge and dining room
* Covered deck leading from the dining area facing due North
* Hidden below is an amazing find with a choice of having a fourth bedroom or games area with kitchenette and bathroom
* An under-utilised treasure is the entertaining area over the double garage
* Remote controlled double garage with high ceilings and space to burn backing onto Moore Lane
* Potential ocean views from a second storey addition (STCA)

Literally just a stroll to the beach, an amber ale, fine restaurants, shopping village, bus transport is all one would want with this highly sought after location.
Importantly, rear lane access and no rear neighbour allow peace, quiet and enjoyment.

* Perfect for the professional couple, renovator/builder, and retirees who desire a project and low maintenance.

Suburb profile:

Freshwater's unique claim to fame is that this is where surfboard riding was popularised in Australia by Hawaiian "Duke" Kahanamoku. Duke famously carved a board from a piece of local timber and demonstrated surfing for an enthralled crowd on 15 January 1915. A life-size statue of Duke Kahanamoku on the northern headland commemorates the historic day. Freshwater is part of the Manly-Freshwater National and World Surfing Reserve that recognises the historical, cultural and environmental values of famous surfing beaches. The current medium house price is $2,275,000 (+23.1%) and the latest medium unit sales price is $826,250(+19.2%). Source: RpData Apr 2017
